The United Crowns Performing Arts Academy

The United Crowns Performing Arts Academy is located in Lithonia, GA. We believe the discipline of dance training gives young people a better understanding of commitment by offering them a chance to learn, experience the spirit of teamwork, and understand what hard work can accomplish.

Our goal is to educate the minds, bodies, and souls of our students, to teach them the skills needed for a successful life, whether or not they stay involved in dance.

Our Academy is tuition-free for students!! Our Fall Class Schedule will be announced very soon. Therefore, we need your support to ensure our aspiring young dancers continue to have a safe, friendly and positive place to strengthen their gifts. 100% of your tax deductible donation will go directly to providing a studio & other performance related items for our students. Without generous people like you, we could not provide this wonderful opportunity for our students to "Redefine Their Future"!

Our Director: Mrs. Susan Crawford

Also, Susan was a member of the Tennessee State University, Morehouse College, and Spelman College dance and cheerleading squads.

She has performed in the Opening & Closing Ceremonies during the 1996 Olympic Games. Furthermore, Susan is the proud owner & artistic director of the Academy of the Arts. Since founded in 1997, the Academy of the Arts has taught thousands of students performing arts. They started off small and have grown to be one of the largest studios in Dekalb County, GA. They believe dance education encompasses far more than technique or the steps children will learn.

The Academy of the Arts believes the discipline of dance training gives young people a better understanding of commitment by offering them a chance to learn, experience the spirit of teamwork, and understand what hard work can accomplish.

They do not believe they are the best because there're the biggest. Instead, they believe there're the biggest because families think they are the best.
